YAR is a music collective, its members come from the DIY underground scene in Paris. They identify on one side to the no wave movement : in its political engagement, expressionism and free sound, the other to the Post Punk movement : with its raw energy, rhythm and delivering process. The result is a unique twist they call strange wave.
